Richard Montes de Oca to Legal Elite 2019

The publication’s annual peer recognition program has honored Florida’s top attorneys for 16 years.

 

MIAMI, Fla. – August 7, 2019 – MDO Partners is pleased to announce that Managing Partner Richard Montes de Oca has been named to Florida Trend Magazine’s Legal Elite 2019 in the category of Business Law. Legal Elite presents a prestigious roster of attorneys chosen for recognition by industry peers. The 1,126 lawyers that comprise this year’s list exemplify a standard of excellence in the profession and have garnered the respect and esteem of their colleagues. This year’s Legal Elite represents fewer than 1.3% of the active Florida Bar members who practice in Florida.

Voting for Legal Elite began in October 2018 when Florida Trend invited all in-state members of the Florida Bar to participate. Lawyers were asked to name attorneys whom they hold in the highest regard or would recommend to others. The ballots were processed, checked and tabulated by an outside vendor, and attorneys were given a score based on the number of votes received, with more weight given to votes from outside the firm. The list was further examined using membership status and histories provided by the Florida Bar. A panel of previous Legal Elite winners, representing different practice areas in cities across the state, reviewed the selection process and the list of finalists.
