MIAMI, FL, April 15, 2014 -
As part of MDO Partners' efforts to strengthen its relations in Latin America, Richard Montes de Oca, the firm's Managing Partner, participated in a trade mission to Colombia led by the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce. The delegation, which included various representatives from prominent law firms, the Barry University Andreas School of Business, the Miami Association of Realtors, Morrison, Brown, Argiz & Farra, and others, visited Bogota and Barranquilla. The delegates attended meetings with representatives from important organizations in Colombia, including the Bogota Chamber of Commerce, ProExport, AmCham Colombia, and ProBarranquilla, among others.
"The Colombian economy is now the third largest in Latin America. This trade mission provided MDO Partners and the other delegates with an opportunity to establish and strengthen relationships with Colombian businesses, trade organizations, and government agencies. The insights we obtained in our meetings will help us add value to our new and existing clients in the region," said Mr. Montes de Oca.
"We are grateful to the Colombian business community and government agencies for their warm welcome and insightful discussions. We look forward to welcoming delegates from Colombia to visit us in Miami, so that we may have an opportunity to continue fostering this dialogue," said Mr. Montes de Oca.
